TWINE | Est. 1997
The Audio Director of DOOM and the Visual Architect of Maryland Connoisseur Studio Reunite.
In 2008, after touring the globe and defining the "electro-organic" IDM sound of the era with seminal releases like Violets and Recorder (Ghostly International, Bip-Hop), Twine entered a state of endodormancy. This was not a dissolution; it was a survival mechanism.
The industry of the time could not support the fidelity of the world we wanted to build.
For 18 years, the organism evolved separately.
Chad Mossholder became the Audio Director at id Software, defining the aggressive, industrial sonic landscape of the DOOM franchise. Greg Malcolm founded Maryland Connoisseur Studio, pioneering high-end macro cinematography and hybrid virtual production.
In 2026, the stasis breaks: Endodormancy is the new EP.
It represents the reunion of two distinct masteries: the high-impact, audiophile engineering of modern AAA gaming mixed with the hallucinatory, microscopic textures of classic IDM. It is the sound of memory degrading, rebuilding, and crystallizing in 4K resolution.
This is emotional digital-glitch music with mass, texture, and consequence.
In 2026 we are visualizing the thaw.
